Lisa Chan Bio

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and currently live in Seattle.

Hobbies and interests include journaling/sketching, photography, drumming, genetic genealogy, science-fiction/fantasy/horror art and literature, cinema, planetary sciences, expositional creators of all kinds, microbiology and the world of the tiny, fresh and saltwater tanks, fiber arts, and LISTS. (phew!)

This website hopes to be a repository for art I create, managed projects, and ephemera.

What happened to Gripping Yarn Spindles? I took the last orders in 2014, and since then have continued to enjoy fiber arts as a hobbiest. The closing of the business allowed for me to attend to chronic repetitive stress injuries. Stupid ligaments! Stupid early osteoarthritis! Stupid immune system! I still enjoy lots of fabulous things – just at a measured pace.
