Learn to Needle Felt, Seattle
Learn the relaxing and enjoyable art of needle felting with personal hands-on instruction provided by Lisa!
What is needle felting? Needle felting is the act of agitating wool or other fibers with a special needle so that they tangle together and create a flexible fabric.
Many people enjoy making dolls, sculpture, ornaments, and soft toys. You do not need to be an accomplished artist to get started with needle felting. Surprisingly, felted objects almost seem to mold themselves as you slowly work the fibers into position.
Supplies provided: Felting needles and a foam pad. Wool roving. Polyester Fiber Filler.
Cost: You may purchase a $14 needle felting kit from me at your lesson (or you can purchase one from a local yarn or craft store). A one hour lesson will be $10. Total cost is $24. Payment can be made by cash or personal check at the time of your lesson.
Lesson: We will start with a quick 10 minute introduction to needle felting, the application of different sized needles, and important safety information. You will also receive a handout of websites and resources to further inspire you after your lesson. You can come with a project in mind, or I can create a kit for you.
RSVP: Lessons can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 10am-7pm. Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-4pm. Email Lisa for appointment availability or call her at (206) 349-4785.
Location: Seattle, WA. You are welcome to come to my home studio (but there is a cat!) or we can meet at a popular cafe in the Green Lake area. My friend owns it, and this is where I host my weekly knitting circle. Other locations may be be scheduled by request.
Group discounts are available! Ask me. You can hire me to come to your house or club for a needle felting party!
